The seven-footer has been cruising over his rebounds prop in the tournament. He logged 21 vs Grambling, 14 vs Utah State and 14 vs Gonzaga.
His boards prop was listed at 11.5 for game one, and then went to 12.5 for the last two contests. I was a bit shocked it didn't keep increasing with each game. And I am still surprised that it hasn't for his upcoming matchup against Tennessee.
Despite what they displayed on Friday evening against Creighton, the Volunteers are actually not that prolific in scoring. KenPom puts them 162nd in three-point percentage (34.2%) and 141st in two-point percentage (51.2%). They have an effective field goal percentage of 51.2%, which ranks them 146th.
The Boilermakers, defensively, are 17th in adjusted efficiency, according to KenPom. They limit their competition to shooting under 32% from deep and sub-48% from within the perimeter.
We would imagine these metrics indicate a healthy dosage of missed shots from Rick Barnes' group. That should lead to Edey dominating the glass yet again.
Play: Zach Edey Over 11.5 Rebounds (-135); Risk 2.70 units to win 2.00
